EA recently just inquired the licensing and is huge news to all the fans of the Star War games. As we all know recently that all game production was stopped with LucasArts and other gaming franchises due to Disney buying the Star Wars franchise. A lot of fans were left wondering about what was going to happen to the Star War name within gaming.Ã‚Â More worry happened when LucasArts laid off its staff who was working on the new Star Wars 1313 which was announced almost over a year ago.
However, the future is bright for all the beloved Star Wars gamers out there and wait is over as an agreement was met with EA to continue to publish any future Star War games. This means, the name, the characters and all that comes within the gaming universe of Star Wars is now available to be played in the near future. So what does that mean for EA and the beloved Star Wars Universe? Well this Fangirl can say that there is excitement growing. With EA working with Bioware we can look forward to something more in with Star Wars games. In addition, the announcement also included DICE and Visceral. Maybe we will see a game we have all been waiting for KOTAR 3, or even the beloved Battlefront 3? Regardless, we are excited to see this happen with the Star Wars franchise in gaming and are excited to see what the next step will be.
