Upon Yokai Island, there is an uneasy truce in place between the ancient Ainu and the Order of Akane, otherwise known as the Red Hunters. The Ainu pray to the Kamuy for balance and protection while the Red Hunters try to take out the Yokai before too many can enter our world and destroy humanity. When a sacred ceremony of the Ainu is disrupted by a Yokai that has managed to slip past the Red Hunters, young Kani is able to help destroy it and offer herself to be a liaison between the two sides in order to prevent a war. Little does she know that her journey is far more important than she could ever imagine.

Sam Alexander has taken over the mantle of Nova from his missing father. His first mission is supposed to be a simple scouting mission: locate the Chitauri Armada and immediately return with the coordinates. Upon arriving, however, he is spotted and fired upon. To make matters worse, he seems to be unable to communicate with Gamora and Rocket Raccoon. Fortunately, Sam has a few tricks up his sleeves and he’s not about to go down as easily as one would imagine. But he nonetheless encounters someone he does not expect and it could shake his faith in himself and his father.

Long ago on the planet Krypton, six students of the Explorer’s Guild are taking their final test with only four to be chosen for graduation. Among the group is the talented and exceptionally gifted Kara Zor-El. All seems to be going well until she hears her boyfriend Kell-Ur scream, holding on for dear life on what little has to keep from falling off a cliff. But Kara cannot save him. And she knows that the egotistical Dev-Em is responsible. Kara graduates and is awarded the Star of Rao. She is also given command of a ship that will help in terraforming Kryptonians to future worlds. However, Kara will not be going alone.
Wolverine and Susan Richards have violated the space-time continuum in order to prevent Ultron from ever existing. As a result, they have created a new reality. Under interrogation from Iron Man, they discover that the world has perhaps turned out just as badly. It appears that Morgana Le Fey is just one step closer to complete world domination with only Iron Man’s S.H.I.E.L.D. and Colonel America’s Defenders the only ones left who have a chance to stop her. And all of this is Wolverine’s fault by killing Hank Pym. What’s more, there’s still the question of whether or not the heroes of this time-line believe him and Susan are real.
Jason Todd has had enough of playing the fool. As a responds he has had all memories of his memories linked to the tragic events of his life wiped from his mind. With these dark memories all knowledge of his closest friends were stripped away as well. In a desperate attempt to reverse the damage done Roy Harper pleads to save his friend. In his plea he is gifted with a glimpse of the tragedy of Jason Todd. This is one tale that just might be more than he ever wanted to know.
