Terraria has achieved an incredible 3 million PC sales, 505 Games and Re-Logic are excited to announce that multiplayer has arrived for Terraria on mobile platforms, with a separate update set to thrill console players too.
For iOS and Android Terraria fans, you’ll now be able to play alongside – or against – other mobile players across the living room. Adventure together or duel each other in player-vs-player combat, with Wi-Fi multiplayer supporting up to four players. This update also includes various bug fixes along with the ability to directly drop items into the world from your inventory bar. Batman: Arkham Origins for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch will be available in the console game launch window, with the Android version to follow in the holiday timeframe. The highly anticipated console version, developed by WB Games Montréal, will be available worldwide Oct. 25.

As if we didn’t already have enough additional side campaigns going on, Playdom has launched a new Covert Task campaign on Marvel Avengers Alliance called Facing Facts. Set primarily within the Season Two chapters of the main campaign, players have until September 23 to complete the five tasks to acquire the Prototype Emitter and the Mutagen Emitter.
The Emitters grant beneficial passive mutation to an ally during battle. The Mutagen Emitter is more impressive as it grants an immediate free turn after using. The Mutagen Emitter also makes for a great PVP bonus, adding +1812 on the attack stats and +1812 on the defense stats.
Playdom has made the fan favorite Squirrel Girl available in Marvel Avengers Alliance beginning this weekend. However, players must first complete the Covert Task called “Bright Eyed, Bushy Tailed” from now until September 18 in order to recruit her. It is unknown if she will not be available for recruitment once the tasks expire. Upon completion of the ten tasks, players must pay 90 command points to recruit her.

Playdom launched a new Special Operations for Marvel Avengers Alliance over the weekend. The mission storyline is inspired by the major story event known as Dark Reign, during which the Avengers are publically discredited and super villains disguised as supposedly better versions of their heroic opposition, better known as the Dark Avengers, try to take control.
Over the weekend, Playdom launched a new Player vs. Player Tournament Season on Marvel Avengers Alliance. Running from now until September 9, players have a chance to position themselves as the best against one another with the top 0.5% at the end getting to recruit the X-Men’s Bishop for free. Bishop will be available for general recruitment a month later.
Bishop is a Bruiser Class character and automatically has the ability to take only half damage from kinetic, energy, psychic, and elemental attacks. Furthermore, he has a chance to protect allies from such attacks, gain potential energy from such, and receive an immediate extra turn.
