E3: 2013 Gamers being served New PlayPads and Mobile Games at the Nyko Diner!

Nyko Technologies, the premier gaming manufacturer, is showing two new iterations of the PlayPad for Android at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3)! They are also proud and excited to reveal the PlayPad Pro 2 and PlayPad Media demoed with brand new games from various developers.

“We are excited to be showcasing two new PlayPad concepts that were designed after listening to consumer feedback,” said Chris Arbogast, director of marketing, Nyko Technologies. “We’ll be showcasing these new controllers with brand new and unreleased games from a great list of partners who are embracing PlayPad and the HID Android protocol.”


E3 2013: Why Nintendo’s Biggest Franchises aren’t in Smartphones?


Nintendo is apparently popular for some of their biggest creations in gaming, including Mario, Zelda, and Donkey Kong, but ever wonder why any of them aren’t available in an official capacity on smartphones?

Gamespot was curious too, which is why Nintendo explained this decision, claiming that the company believes the most effective way to leverage its brands is to release franchises on its own hardware.

Gamers have until June 30 to complete the 25 tasks required to recruit Wonder Man before he is no longer available.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf out this Sunday


The gates of Animal Crossing: New Leaf will open when the game launches for the Nintendo 3DS system on June 9, inviting residents to move in and, in a series first, become mayors of their own personalized towns. Animal Crossing: New Leaf is based on the real-world calendar – no two days in the game are the same – and includes features new to the series like customizing specific pieces of furniture, visiting a tropical island, swimming in the ocean and even sharing personalized homes with friends.

Imangi Studios has given us Temple Run fanatics something else to be happy about! Continuing to give us ongoing content in the popular sequel, they announced an update today that will challenge us with new roadblocks and tasks!

That’s not all! The new update contains many features that include a brand new landscape called The Narrow that introduces a treacherous new terrain to the game, treacherous spinning saw blades that create obstacles to avoid, and new chances to earn free coins and gems.


SEGA debuts Sonic The Hedgehog on Android!

SEGA Europe Ltd. and SEGA of America, Inc. today announced the official debut of Sonic The Hedgehog for Android.Giving fans a whole new outlook, optimized with widescreen support and exclusive features for mobile phones. It also contains the feature of allows gamers to unlock Sonic’s pals Tails and Knuckles as playable characters for the very first time.


Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure

Warner Bros. is set to release this new installment of Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Adventure to feature every character of the DC universe. If you don’t know, Scribblenauts is a puzzle action video game developed by 5th cell for the Nintendo DS, which was released September 15, 2009 in North America.   The objective of Scribblenauts, is “Write Anything, Solve Everything”, to complete puzzles to collect “Starites”, helped by the player’s ability to summon any object (from a database of tens of thousands) by writing its name on the touchscreen. This challenges the player solve puzzles within limitations. A sequel was later released in October 12, 2010 called Super Scribblenauts, since then two other games have been released called Scribblenauts Remix in 2011 and Scribblenauts Unlimited earlier this year via Steam for windows. Warner Bros. even added iconic locations like the Batcave, Gotham City and Green Lantern Corp’s home world of Oa, maybe DC fans will have the urge to play some Scribblenauts for themselves.


Combo Crew For iOS & Android

ComboCrew_LogoCombo Crew, the highly anticipated mobile brawler from SQUIDS developer The Game Bakers, is poised to hit the App Store and Google Play on Thursday May 23. Combo Crew sports kick-ass fighting gameplay, smooth controls, and asynchronous co-op across devices – so iPhone, iPad, and Android gamers can join forces on the same crew. With only a week until the game is released they’ve introduced us with some of Combo Crew’s heroes: Parker, Gina, Dolph.

It’s a beat ‘em up inspired by the greats of the ’80s and ’90s like Final Fight and Streets of Rage, but with modern visuals and a gesture-based control scheme built specifically with the touchscreen in mind.  No virtual d-pad or buttons. You can see the controls in action in the developer’s hands-on video from the announcement.
