 Today marks the 25th Anniversary of the first generation of Nintendo GameBoy. It first launched in Japan on April 21, 1989. Who had one of these?


Guitar Hero, Band Hero, and DJ Hero Song Catalog Getting Pulled at the End of March


Activision announced today that downloadable songs for the Hero games, including Guitar Hero, Band Hero, DJ Hero, and the Guitar Hero mobile game, will no longer be available for sale after March 31.

During their final days some tracks have gone on sale on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii, saving up to 50%. At least the servers will remain online, and songs purchased before the content is taken offline will still be playable in April and beyond.

It hurts to say but, once again, R.I.P. music-rhythm games†.


“Sonic Boom” Tv Show & Video Game Reveal

Today Sega Has Announced what they call as a “new branch of the Sonic universe”, the show will be produced by OuiDO! Productions and Sega of America. It will air on Cartoonetwork and will consist of 52 episodes running 11 minutes. The story will take place after the Video Game under the same name which released a new trailer.

The video Game under the same name will be exclusively released on the WIIU and 3DS,  it is being developed by Big Red Button Entertainment a new company ran by two people who use to work at Naughty Dog.  Here is a list of what the game will be about and what you can do:


Lucario Returns in Super Smash Bros.


Lucario has just been announced as a returning character for the next Super Smash Bros game for the WIIU and 3Ds.  Lucario originally replaced Mewtwo from Melee . It will be interesting to see lucario his fighting moves should be different since each fighter will have different fighting moves.

From her tower from Super Mario Galaxy Rosalina and Luma join the fight in the new Super Smash Bros game. She was announced during the Nintendo update her fighting style is very unique as you control her and luma as we’ll to make awesome combos.

Also Super Smash Bros has been delayed it was rumored to be released spring of next year but Nintendo announced that was incorrect and will released late next year.

The Cave, coming soon to the App Store!


SEGA of Europe Ltd. and SEGA of America, Inc., in a partnership with Double Fine Productions, officially announced the launch date and price for the mobile version of The Cave.

Created by legendary game designer Ron Gilbert, The Cave will be available on 3rd October on the App Store for $4.99  for the iPod touch, iPad and iPhone.

Marvel Avengers Alliance launches Infinity Spec Ops

Over the weekend, Playdom launched a new Special Operations for Marvel Avengers Alliance. It is named after and inspired from the currently running major story event Infinity. As such, it contains spoilers of characters and plot-lines that are still being introduced.

Star Wars Pinball Coming to Nintendo eShop on 3DS!

Zen Studios, the talented leader in videogame pinball, today officially announced Star Wars Pinball has released on Nintendo eShop for 3DS. The downloadable game will be available September 19, 2013 in North America and Europe. Each Star Wars pinball table can be played in great stereoscopic 3D. Tables include Star Wars Episode V : The Empire Strikes Back, Boba Fett and Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Star Wars: Force Collection Now Available for iOS and Android!

New Covert Task launched in Marvel Avengers Alliance

coverttasks3As if we didn’t already have enough additional side campaigns going on, Playdom has launched a new Covert Task campaign on Marvel Avengers Alliance called Facing Facts. Set primarily within the Season Two chapters of the main campaign, players have until September 23 to complete the five tasks to acquire the Prototype Emitter and the Mutagen Emitter.

The Emitters grant beneficial passive mutation to an ally during battle. The Mutagen Emitter is more impressive as it grants an immediate free turn after using. The Mutagen Emitter also makes for a great PVP bonus, adding +1812 on the attack stats and +1812 on the defense stats.


Squirrel Girl now available on Marvel Avengers Alliance

NAT83013Playdom has made the fan favorite Squirrel Girl available in Marvel Avengers Alliance beginning this weekend. However, players must first complete the Covert Task called “Bright Eyed, Bushy Tailed” from now until September 18 in order to recruit her. It is unknown if she will not be available for recruitment once the tasks expire. Upon completion of the ten tasks, players must pay 90 command points to recruit her.

Playdom launched a new Special Operations for Marvel Avengers Alliance over the weekend. The mission storyline is inspired by the major story event known as Dark Reign, during which the Avengers are publically discredited and super villains disguised as supposedly better versions of their heroic opposition, better known as the Dark Avengers, try to take control.
