Celtics vs. Heat Game 7 recap

The Miami Heat advance to the NBA Finals after defeating the Boston Celtics 101-88 at home in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals. LeBron James led the Heat with 31 points and 12 rebounds, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh combined for 42 points and 14 rebounds. LeBron was ridiculously amazing in this series having five games with over 30 points and 10 rebounds. The Heat’s Big Three (Bosh, James and Wade) scored the last 30 points, to clinch second consecutive trip to the NBA Finals. The Heat was down by seven in halftime and got back in it by outscoring the Celtics in the 3rd quarter by seven. Miami took control with a 10-2 run, with 5:43 left on the clock. The Celtics got outscored by 13 points in that 4th quarter. It was an exciting game from beginning to end, the game had 20 lead changes (seven in the fourth) and tied 10 times.

Rajon Rondo led the Celtics with 22 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists. That was Rondo’s third triple-double this post season. Ray Allen and Paul Pierce combined 34 points and 7 rebounds. Pierce was 7-18 shooting and 2-6 from the 3 point line. Boston struggled from the 3 point line, ending the game with 31.6 percent. The Celtics had very poor bench play, the starting lineup received almost no help from the reserves. They could have won or at least forced overtime with a better bench. The Celtics only got two points out of their bench. Hopefully this team stays intact for one more season, I don’t want the Celtic’s Big Three era to end yet.
