Dirt 2 Delayed

Dirt 2 for the PC was going to arrive at the same time as the console version in September, the PC release of Codemasters DiRT 2 has been pushed back until December. Codemasters technical officer Bryan Marshall said “We believe that the DirectX 11 feature set is too compelling to ignore, especially considering how much more it can add to the visual experience for PC gamers, The key to new technologies such as hardware tessellation, multi-threading and Shader Model 5.0. The hardware tessellation will further improve the appearance of water and other surfaces as well as crowd animations,” with SM 5.0 “enhancing key image quality parameters such as depth of field, ambient occlusion and shadows.” Dirt 2 is Supported in both Windows Vista and upcoming Windows 7, the latest version of Microsoft’s DirectX 11 will come later this year.
