This is a big one. Around 8 months ago a “Hellfire” series was announced on Fox, it was an X-men based show about an international club of wealthy elites created by the writer/artist duo Chris Claremont and John Byrne. They were heavily influenced by a 1966 episode of the British television series “The Avengers”. The show has since been canceled being that the enterprise lost its writers. In my humble opinion, the series never captured my complete attention or excitement, so the news of the cancellation weren’t exactly a bummer.
With that being said,  it was announced that 20th Century Fox and Marvel would work together for the first time on a television show that will be based on the X-Men universe, which will air on Fox, and reportedly has already devoted on a “pilot commitmentâ€Â. This only means the network must air the pilot episode of the show or they can potentially en up loosing a lot of money.
The story will center its plot on two ordinary parents with a mutant child and are forced to hide from the government and join an underground network of mutants that still is still untitled and has not specified any characters. tThe show will be written by Matt Nix and  he will work alongside executive producer Bryan Singer, Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg and Marvels own Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory. An incredible team, in my opinion, so it definitely has my full attention.
It is a well known fact that Marvel Studios and Fox have had somewhat of a clamorous relationship,as Fox still controls most big characters from the Marvel Universe, that are vital for some big stories happening right now in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This does not mean that we will be seeing mutants or any of the “Fantastics on the MCU” anytime soon. Both studios agreeing on something as big as this series, shows a great sign of cooperation which can only lead great things.
