Heat vs Thunder Game 2 recap

Watch Game 3 tomorrow on ABC at 5:00 P.M. (PT)

The Oklahoma City Thunder couldn’t defend home court on Thursday as Miami Heat tied the series 1-1 with a 100-96 win. Miami jumped out with a big lead early in the 1st quarter with an 18-2 run. The Thunder got back to within two points and had a chance to tie the game in the closing seconds, the shot by Kevin Durant was short and bounced off the rim. Durant and everyone in Loud City thought he was fouled by LeBron James, but no whistles were blown. James had 32 points, eight rebounds, five assists and went 12-for-12 from the free throw line. Shane Battier was pin point accurate going 5-of-6 (4-of-5 on 3-pointers) and ended the night with 17 points. Chris Bosh was incredible, he had a double-double in the first half! Finishing with 16 points and 15 rebounds (seven on the offensive end).

OKC was just horrible in the first half, they missed 11 of their first 12 shots. At the 5:30 mark in the 2nd quarter Russell Westbrook was 1-for-8 and Durant 1-for-6. Although they did have some light in the 1st quarter with James Harden going 5-of-9 (2-of-3 on 3-pointers) and finished the quarter with 17 points.

Durant led his team and ended the night with 32 points. Westbrook had 27 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists.

If OKC wants to win a game away and the series they are going to need to play the first half.

To me Miami didn’t win the game, Oklahoma gave it away.
