PETA, an animal rights group, released a parody of Pokemon earlier today, titled Pokemon Black & Blue. With Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 now available for purchase, PETA saw an opportunity to show everyone that capturing and fighting pokemon is “horribly” wrong. On the game’s site, PETA states, “If PETA existed in Unova, our motto would be: Pokémon are not ours to use or abuse. They exist for their own reasons. We believe that this is the message that should be sent to children.”
A few noteworthy actions that you’ll be able to unleash on the terrible humans are “Protest” and “Group hug.” This isn’t the first time PETA has made a game to teach a lesson. The group had also previously released, Cooking Mama: Cooking Kills Animals. The video above is a whimsical playthrough of the short pokemon game. Gotta free ’em all!
