Hello fellow duelist and welcome to another review with me. Today I have another product to talk about and that is the Synchron Extreme Structure Deck. Now thanks to my friend from Konami I was able to try it out and my initial impressions is that I am in love with this deck.
One of the best things about this deck is that it has a ton of amazing cards for other deck like effect veilers, swift scarecrow, and solemn warning, just to name a few. But what I really want to talk about is some of the new cards that came in this set that will help synchro decks tremendously.
First off we have Jet Synchron, this monster is one of the biggest MVPs of the deck and has a ton of synergy with current synchro decks. Its a level 1 machine type tuner monster with 500 atk, so it works with machine duplication to get out multiple copies. But what makes this card so awesome is its effect, it says ” If this card is sent to the Graveyard as a Synchro Material: You can add 1 “Junk” monster from your Deck to your hand.
If this card is in your Graveyard: You can send 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard; Special Summon this card, but banish it when it leaves the field. You can only use 1 “Jet Synchron” effect per turn, and only once that turn”.
Now with its ability to search cards like Junk Synchron makes it a valuable card, but also easily bringing it back for the grave by discarding one card is amazing. Many uses and a ton of potential if you play your cards right with this one.
Another card I want to talk about is Accel Synchron. Accel is a level 5 machine type tuner synchro monster, with 500 atk and 2100 def, it is a very viable tuner monster. Its effect is ” Once per turn: You can send 1 “Synchron” monster from your Deck to the Graveyard, then activate 1 of these effects;
? Increase this card’s Level by the Level of the sent monster.
? Reduce this card’s Level by the Level of the sent monster.
During your opponent’s Main Phase, you can: Immediately after this effect resolves, Synchro Summon 1 Synchro Monster, using Materials including this card you control (this is a Quick Effect). You can only Synchro Summon “Accel Synchron(s)” once per turn”. With Accels effect you can make him any level from 1 to 12 from just discarding synchron monsters from your deck. Another cool thing is that you can quick synchro during your opponents turn making some of your opponents effects that target this useless since the target will not be there to resolve the effect. Usually I use this to make my Shooting Quasar Dragon incase I can’t bring out a formula synchron, I just easily drop Accel down to level 2 and I hopefully have 2 level 5 synchro monsters on my field so I can bring it out.
The last card I want to talk about is Stardust Warrior. Its effect is “During either player’s turn, if your opponent would Special Summon a monster(s): You can Tribute this card; negate the Summon, and if you do, destroy that monster(s). During the End Phase, if this effect was activated this turn (and was not negated): You can Special Summon this card from your Graveyard. If this card is destroyed by battle, or if this face-up card you control leaves the field because of an opponent’s card effect: You can Special Summon 1 Level 8 or lower “Warrior” Synchro Monster from your Extra Deck. (This Special Summon is treated as a Synchro Summon.)”. Now with this card it has to be synchro summoned with a tuner synchro monster and 1 or more non-tuner synchro monster to make it, but for a 3000 atk summon negater, it is worth the build up. Now if you pair this with a Stardust Dragon and another Stardust Warrior, it is a very high chance that you will be the victor of the duel. One thing that I wanted to point out about the card and that is about the effect it has when it is destroyed. It says you can special summon a level 8 or lower “warrior” monster, meaning a monster that has warrior in its name, not the type of the monster, which I thought was a pretty cool effect to make your opponent second guess on what to expect when and if its destroyed.
Synchron Extreme is an amazing structure deck and will help the game of any duelist. Many amazing cards are in this set making it worth every penny. Even if you dont like to synchro summon, there are a bunch of other cards in this deck to help improve the current one that you have right now.
My final thought and score is a 10/10, it has a bunch of new cards and some amazing reprints. To me this deck feels like it is actually battle ready right out of the box and you dont see a lot of that now days. I hope you all enjoyed my review and once again happy dueling.
