Comic-Con 2013 Wrap-Up Post


Yes! Behold more pictures of Comic-Con 2013. This year was amazing, starting with this being our second year as part of the Comic-con program and  hosting tournaments the whole week.

We want to give thanks to Capcom, Epic Games, Activision, Microsoft Store for supporting our events and everybody who joined us and participated in our tournaments. Also, special thanks to the Comic-Con staff once again for this amazing opportunity, and another very special thanks of course to our wonderful FBG staff for making this a crazy fun successful week! Ultra Street Fighter IV Will Be Out In 2014


New version of Street Fighter IV announced at EVO 2013


Capcom announces five new characters and six new stages as DLC for Street Fighter IV

Capcom has announced that the next update to Street Fighter IV will include five new characters. Elena, Rolento,Poison and Hugo will be making their way to the title, as well as an unannounced fifth fighter that has never been seen in Street Fighter before.

Additionally, the update will include balance fixes and six new stages. It will cost $15 as an add-on to the current game or $40 as a direct digital download/retail copy for the whole game.This full edition will come with all previously released alternate character costumes for free. Also, Udon is designing brand new costumes that will be released as a pre-order bonus. The DLC will launch on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC early next year.

DuckTales Remastered release dates announced

We’ve been tossing out the hyper-vague “Summer 2013” for DuckTales: Remastered’s release window since the game was announced back at PAX East, but today, we’re happy to finally confirm some solid release dates for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC. Here goes:

August 13th – DuckTales Remastered launches on PlayStation Network, Steam, and the Wii U eShop
September 11th – DuckTales: Remastered launches on Xbox Live

Resident Evil Revelations avaliable now!

Resident Evil Revelations avaliable now! , May 21 across North America and May 24 for European territories.  Available at retail for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Windows PC and Nintendo’s Wii U console, the title will also be available to download digitally starting tomorrow via the PlayStation Network Store, Nintendo eShop and Steam, with a Games On Demand version for the Xbox 360 to follow.

Project X Zone – Capcom Character Spotlight

Since the game’s announcement to come to the West, very little information has been released regarding the translated version; until just the other day. This video gives a look at some of the Capcom characters and cameos that are represented in Project X Zone. For those that don’t know, Project X Zone is a tactical RPG by Namco Bandai made in collaboration with Sega and Capcom. Its also the follow up to the import-only Namco x Capcom.

The game is a Nintendo 3ds exclusive, and is slated to release late June (next month).


Capcom confirms Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Dual Destinies


Capcom has confirmed that Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies will be available to purchase digitally on Nintendo 3DS across Europe and North America in Fall 2013.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies, previously announced for the West as Ace Attorney 5, sees the return of courtroom hero Phoenix Wright. Set eight years since his last appearance in the courts, the first case in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies sees the action start in a destroyed court room. It’s down to Phoenix Wright and his team at the Wright Anything Agency to discover the cause of the destruction. Players will have to battle it out in court against Gaspen Payne, the younger brother of Winston Payne from previous Ace Attorney titles, as they defend the accused.


Resident Evil Revelations demo coming to the West

Horror fans will soon be able to get a taste of Resident Evil Revelations with the upcoming release of a downloadable demo for Xbox LIVE, PSN, Nintendo eShop and Steam. Exact release dates to be confirmed shortly.
Acting on orders from the BSAA director, the demo will see players infiltrating the cruise ship ‘Queen Zenobia’ as Jill Valentine and attempt to rescue missing fellow BSAA members Chris Redfield and Jessica Sherawat whose last known location pinpointed them onboard.
Also available today is the first in a weekly series of Developer Diaries featuring interviews with the team behind Resident Evil Revelations. Today’s video takes a look at the heritage and horror of Resident Evil.
Gamers will be able to experience the full game when Resident Evil Revelations releases on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U and PC in North America on May 21 and across Europe on May 24.

“Sengoku Basara 4″ Announced for Early 2014 in Japan


Given a more reason to celebrate at a Sengoku Basara festival, Capcom previously announced that they are ready to indulge into the Sengoku Basara saga partnering with Playstation 3, with another chapter addition!

They are currently constructing on an official Japanese website which will be released LIVE on April 1st. (just right there..)

Capcom was being a real tease when they decided to not divulge into any more exciting details but making up for that, they gave us the game’s key terms which are “Sengoku Genesis” and “Enter a new chapter.”


New Resident Evil 6 x Left 4 Dead 2 Onslaught Mode PC Screens

With the PC version of Resident Evil 6 launching today Capcom has released the first video showing Left 4 Dead 2’s Survivors and Special Infected Zombies. As announced last week, four of L4D2’s Survivors – Coach, Nick, Ellis and Rochelle – will be playable characters in the PC exclusive Mercenaries No Mercy mode, with The Witch and Mini Tank appearing as additional enemies for players to take down regardless of whether a character from Left 4 Dead 2 or Resident Evil 6 is chosen. This new and exclusive content is free and will automatically be downloaded in the background to all owners of the PC version of Resident Evil 6 from April 5.


DuckTales Is Back, Woo-oo

During PAX East today, Capcom announced DuckTales Remastered, a new title in development by WayFoward Technologies.

DuckTales Remastered,  originally released for the NES way back in 1989,  is actually a full remake of the NES game, with new features including a Tutorial, Museum and the Scrooge’s Money Bin you can actually swim in. Disney voice actors are working on the game and original 8-bit songs have been remastered for the new title.


DuckTales Remastered will come to PSN, XBLA and the Wii U eShop this summer for $14.99 or 1200 Microsoft Points.

Capcom and Valve announce the Resident Evil 6 x Left 4 Dead 2 project


Capcom and Valve are pleased to announce the Resident Evil 6 x Left 4 Dead 2 project. This crossover project between two of the interactive entertainment industry’s most respected publishers will see characters from Left 4 Dead 2 featured exclusively in the forthcoming PC version of Resident Evil 6, while enemies from Resident Evil 6 will invade the PC version of Left 4 Dead 2. All content will be made available completely free for fans of either game to access and play.


Lost Planet 3 – Pirate Reveal Trailer

This trailer continues the story of Jim Peyton’s time on E.D.N. III as a NEVEC employee seeking out further sources of the planet’s energy supply T-Eng. During one of these missions, Jim comes under attack from E.D.N. III’s indigenous Akrid, causing his Utility Rig to fall down an icy fissure, leaving him unconscious and injured.

Jim wakes to find himself in what appears to be a secret base, hidden beneath the planet’s frozen surface. On discovering he was rescued by one of the base’s inhabitants, Mira, the daughter of Snow Pirate leader, So’ichi, Jim realizes that NEVEC are not the only human inhabitants of E.D.N. III.


Resident Evil Revelations Infernal Mode Trailer

Capcom confirmed that Resident Evil Revelations will release at retail for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 , and Nintendo’s Wii U system across North America on May 21. The title will also be available to download digitally on PS3 and Windows PC for $49.99 on May 21, with digital versions for Xbox 360 and Wii U system to follow.

Capcom Arcade Cabinet in Detail

Capcom recently announced their newest deal that is coming very soon called: Capcom Arcade Cabinet, and today the full list of classic 8-bit titles have been revealed. with these classic titles getting digital gamers will be able to transform their PlayStation3 or Xbox 360 into their very own customizable, HD 80’s arcade.

Starting February 19 until early May, a total of 15 titles from 1984-1988 will be released to purchase digitally either as a series of packs or individually, allowing players to choose what they want to buy. By purchasing all 15 titles, either separately or together, players will gain access to two bonus games absolutely free.


Street Fighter x Tekken v2013 Patch is Live


The long awaited update to Capcom’s SFxT has finally arrived. This new patch features many changes to the game to give it an overall better feel. Some of the changes are cosmetic, while most are gameplay and character-wise.

There are a LOT of changes that were made to this game (here you can see changes made to the system and gems), and you can find a list of changes made to the Street Fighter cast here, with the changes to the Tekken cast here.
