Today is the day that Konami released their new quarterly forbidden/ limited list and boy the top tier deck that won YCS was cut to size with this new list. If you haven’t guessed what deck I’m talking about, its non other than dragon rulers. I’ll go over the changes with you guys so you can get a better understanding of what went down. Lets start off with the forbidden list. No monsters were added to this list but some very powerful spells and traps were. The first is dragon ravine, now this is just one of the tech choices to run a successful dragon ruler deck but not the only one. This card allowed the player to get rid of the dragons faster so they can special them or their counterparts, with this card gone, the drgunity build is pretty much dead. Some new traps added to the list were return from the different dimension, self-destruct button, and sixth sense. Now all these choices that were added I completely agree with, all these cards were each over powered in their own way. But the one I was really happy for was for sixth sense, this card could easily be a +6 in your favor and in decks like chaos or dragon rulers some duelist don’t mind what the outcome of the role would be. Although only four cards were added to the forbidden list, I can tell you that the limited list is a lot more crueler then the forbidden.
The latest Yugioh TCG booster set, Legacy of the Valiant, Konami introduces a handful of brand new themes – including a highly anticipated new Plant theme. Duelists that want a taste of the set prior to the official release date can participate in the Sneak Peek event taking place January 18th and/or 19th.

This week my friends from Konami gave me the honor of reviewing a new Yugioh set that just came out, which is called Shadow Specters. Shadow Specters releases some new monster arc types and adds on to some popular ones as well. Mecha Phantom Beast make a small appearance, Archfiends make a comeback, Bujins are resurrected, Noble Knights make an honorable return and vampires are furiously out for blood. All these arc types make a comeback in this set and making a debut to the Yugioh world, ghostricks. All these arc types gain a big power boost in this set alone, which gives you the necessary evil to bring down your opponent.

The undead are front and center in this set, with a whole series of new Vampire monsters, spells, and traps, such as Crimson Knight Vampire Bram (SHSP-EN054). I have been waiting for a new legendary collection ever since Yugis World was released last year and what a great set to follow it up with. Joeys World brings some great cards from a whole bunch of opponents that Joey had faced in the past. This set includes cards from Rex Raptor, Mai Valentine, Bandit Keith, Bones, Espa Roba, Weevil Underwood, and of course Marik Ishtar. All were very powerful duelist that pushed Joey passed his own limits to become a better duelist and ended up becoming one of the greatest of all time in my book. Like I said this set includes the key cards of his opponents and a lot of Joeys cards that have been reprinted into different rarities. So my friends from Konami sent over a set so I can tell you what I think of them.
Besting more than 1200 Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG) players in highly competitive and, at times, nerve-wracking play, Merlin Schumacher from Munich, Germany achieved the top prize of being crowned the Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series (YCS) winner, this past weekend in San Mateo, CA.

This week on yugioh card of the week in gonna be talking about one of my favorite cards since its release. This card was just released not to long ago in the structure deck saga of the blue eyes white dragon and boy let me tell you it is one badass card. Everybody that plays Yugioh should know about this card and know how broken it is and how devastating it is in this current format. I am of course talking about Maiden with Eyes of Blue.

What’s up every one today I’m gonna start up my card of the week again. The cards I look for have lots of potential in any deck and can offer a lot of help to duelist, beginning or advance. The card that I have chosen is from the new yugioh set Judgment of the Light and its non other Star Eater.
